I just came across this illustration by Unica Zürn, long-time partner of surrealist Hans Bellmer. [date unknown (circa late 1950s-early '60s.)]








A little less than a month ago, I made this drawing.

In addition to making art that resembles mine, Zürn ALSO suffered a lengthy battle with schizophrenia, before she killed herself by jumping out of her apartment window.

As the Germans say, "LÖL."
