enstruction

Interviewed this incredibly smart lady (Amelia/Gorgeous Vermillion) for a very delayed forthcoming feminist/performer/artist zine.

everything was styrofoam everything. a good show.

(him too)

(Robert Haigh's later work is also definitely worth checking out. Trevor Reidy also percuss'd with Nurse With Wound and The Monochrome Set.)

(whoah.)

The YBCA is finally showing some of Shuji Terayama's work on the 24th.
Criminally under-viewed! His filmic imagery (always in service to coherent, though perhaps obtuse, plotline) is excessive, baroque, chaotic, and "obscene"; a true visual storyteller. His imagery is so stylized--and "Tumblr culture" has, unfortunately, kind of thefted his oeuvre's discursive potentiality--yet I'm hoping this program will actually attempt to explicate his themes, as well (rape, male dominance, porn, revolutionary politics, et al).
