"Let us affront and reprimand the smooth mediocrity and squalid contentment of the times."

 (perennial favorite)

ATTN ATTN:
So, the scene was this past Friday afternoon and i was outside a bank. a Chase branch. weird, static interior--Huge screens depicting a time-lapse landscape of our San Francisco, with the Chase billboards strategically placed in all the footage...digital materials interpreting a psychogeography--or rather, Geomancy of the psychotic elites. naturally i formulate an "idea," which initially involves filming the tellers from outside (on Polk, an area real distant, in all ways, from the projections), to capture the mechanized interactions taking place within these searingly blue neon kiosks, because it's all very bizarre. and i'm by myself (of course) and am confronted by security (ditto); he presumes that my actions are illegal, not artful, and threatens to summon reinforcements. i tell him to Fuck Off but end up leaving, myself. Consequently, "Idea" was abandoned.
the aforementioned scene has been banished to realms of Memory and no longer exists. so why am i talking about this (?) It's essentially an open-call for a comrade: Absurdist; open-minded; dependable/spontaneous; sense of humor/serious. you exist.
i feel that, as i gravitate more towards embodied modes of resistance--performing dissent, and structuring these public performances as somewhat didactic exercises--that i need a witness (documentarian). if you live in the bay area and would like to get involved in something like this, my email is a.e.cruse@gmail.com; go for it.
